Bella Box June 2015 -Review

Can I start by asking a very important question, what happened to the beautiful blue Bella Box this month?? I love using the little box for storing all sorts of things!!

For the June box we received 6 products in total, 3 full sized and 3 sample products. I will start with the full size products.

Original Source Shower Gel

I love the Original Source Shower Gel range, they have some of the most amazing smelling products! The scent that I received this month is the new Watermelon and Jojoba Oil. I’m really excited to try this as the smell is incredible (very fresh and fruity, great for summer) however I also like the idea that it includes Jojoba Oil which I am hoping will make it very nourishing.

Universal Beauty Cosmetics Nude Pink Tint

This product really spiked my interest when I first saw it, it looks like a grown up coloured marker which is cute! I also really loved the colour – vibrant berry pink. I have to say this is where my love for this product finished! When applying the product i found it very patchy and it didn’t apply evenly. It is a really easy application to work being in a pen however I just didn’t love the consistency of the product. I am really disappointed as I really loved the colour!!

*side note – the staying power of the colour is VERY long!

Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm Tube

I have to say another disappointing product (sorry!!). I am a huge fan of the Burt’s Bees Pink Grapefruit lip balm & their tinted lip balms so I was really excited to try this one. When I first tried it the smell was really nice, however a little over powering. When the balm had been on my lips for approx. 5 mins it started to tingle quite a lot, so much that it was uncomfortable and I had to take it off. I would definitely recommend the other Burt’s Bees lip balms over this one.

Ivadore Tanning Treatment

This all natural, Australian owned self tanner seems to make a lot of marketing promises that I am excited to test out. Applying like a moisturiser it doesn’t have a guide colour which means you need to be a little more careful when applying to avoid any streaking. The smell is also very nice so that is a huge win. The product states to wait a full 8 hours before washing so I will try it out and give an update on the colour and finish once it has developed!

Model Co Double Sided Facial Wipes

I can remember a time where Model Co were only known for their self tanners (which are still great to this day!!) however they now have lines of makeup and skincare which is awesome. I have to say I was skeptical about the Model Co skincare range when it first came out however I have not yet used anything that I don’t like. These facial wipes are great for travelling as they have a rough side for exfoliation and a smoother side for cleansing which means more room in your case for all of that shopping! They smell great as well.

Palmolive Active Nourishment Conditioner/Shampoo

I have to say I find it quite difficult with sample sized shampoo and conditioners as my hair uses so much product I normally have to mix them with a full sized product. In general I have used Palmolive products before and really liked them. I like the idea of including aloe vera as hopefully it will help tame frizz!

All in all I wasn’t over the moon with this Bella Box however it did have some nice things included to make it a good box overall.

Have a great week and let me know your thoughts on the Bella Box inclusions for June??

xx Becca

  1. You got some of the same products as I did! I love your pebble backdrop, it looks gorgeous. I also found that the tint was patchy at first, but I just went over and over my lips and it evened out. You can also pat it with a finger before it dries for a gradient lip ^^.
